Rick D. Kitchen
Rick D. Kitchen. In July of 2007 we worked with Rick D in Avondale Estates, GA. He had a really good idea of what he wanted done in his kitchen. We worked with Rick to get him a kitchen that offered conveniences and the look and feel of a kitchen that would cost much more than he spent. Below I have outlined day by day what took place. I think you will see that the transformation was huge. His kitchen is now the nicest room in the house and I am sure that he will spend plenty of time in it. Here are the details of this job: 1. Cabinets - Brunswick Sienna with Chocolate glaze. All cabinet ends have decorative overlay doors. 2. Granite - Golden Diamond with a OG edge 3. tile back splash - 4" Noche tumbled stone on diagonal with a 4" beige tile insert. 4. Tile floor - 18" x 18" Italian tile in Noche to closely match the back splash. 5. We removed the old pantry and moved the refrigerator to make room for a small breakfast bar.
As you can see, the kitchen had builder grade white cabinets. The kitchen was ready for a face lift!
End of day 1
At the end of day 1 we had removed all of the old cabinets, torn out the original pantry to make room for the refrigerator. Also most of the electrical work was complete. That consisted of new can lights in the kitchen, 2 sconces over the window seat and new outlets.
End of day 2
At the end of day 2 all of the cabinets had been installed and the granite had been measured. End of Day 3 At the end of day 3 all of the granite was installed and ther floor was completely cleaned to make way for the new tile. End of Day 4 At the end of day 4, the backsplash was installed and the kitchen was ready for plumbing and a new floor. End of Day 5 At the end of day 5 the back splash was grouted, the tile floor was in and grouted and the remaining tasks were trim, paint, and appliance installation. End of Day 6 - job complete At the end of day 6, the job was complete. The granite, back splash and floor were cleaned and sealed, all trim was painted and any remaining items were completed. I think you can tell that it was a GREAT transformation! BEFORE AFTER
